The hotel offers amazing views but has small toilets. The rooms provide an amazing view of the gardens. The staff can be improved in terms of customer service. The location is picturesque with easy access to local tourist spots. The dining experience is mediocre with some improvements needed in service quality.

I stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The rooms had stunning views of Derwent Water, but unfortunately, they hadn't been cleaned to any acceptable level. The service was lacking, with some rude staff members, although the new management and staff were better. The location was beautiful, right by Derwentwater lake, but the atmosphere in the library could have been more relaxed. The dining experience was mediocre, especially for vegetarians. Overall, the stay had its ups and downs.

My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The rooms had been updated, but unfortunately, mine only had a view of the entrance to the car park. The service was lacking, as some staff members were rude and need customer service training. The location, however, was lovely with a nice stroll to the waters edge. The dining experience was mediocre, with food served on badly marked plates, although the view of the water was nice. The facilities were decent, but there is room for improvement in various aspects.

The hotel has undergone some updates, providing clean rooms with twin beds but limited views overlooking the car park. The bathroom cleanliness could use improvement, especially in the en-suite of the main bedroom. The service staff could benefit from better customer service training, particularly at reception. The location offers a nice stroll to the water's edge but is a 20-minute walk from Keswick. The dining experience, while mediocre, offers great views, especially for vegetarians.

The service could use some improvement in terms of customer interaction. Despite the need for further refurbishment in some areas, the overall location was delightful for a relaxing stay.
